This is where the famous actor Charlie Chaplin spent the last 25 years of his life, and today it allows us to get closer to his life and work. For this day we recommend the “Glacier 3000 world” – a cable car ride to the top of the mountain, where a panoramic landscape is revealed: some 24 peaks over 4,000 meters high and all covered in snow (Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Matterhorn and Mont-Blanc, among others). Walk across the world’s first suspension bridge, which connects two peaks, or slide down the highest toboggan run – adventure is guaranteed here! Having a spectacular view of one of the Alpine peaks is definitely a must during a trip to Switzerland. Most travelers choose the famous Jungfraujoch, (the top of Europe), which is accessed through the town of Interlaken. We suggest a boat trip on Lake Brienz, known for its turquoise waters, followed by a stroll through the quiet streets of the town center of the same name, located at the eastern end of the lake. Next why not a visit to the Ballenberg Open Air Museum which illustrates the daily life of Swiss farmers and traditional crafts. The village of Engelberg is located in an extensive mountain valley, some 1000 meters above sea level. Its impressive Benedictine monastery founded in 1120 still exerts a great influence on village life.  Today we recommend climbing Titlis Mountain with the TITLIS Rotair, the world’s first rotating cable car, reaching directly onto the glacier. Its top allows an impressive mountain panorama, and it has several restaurants with sunny terraces, an ice cave and the impressive Titlis Cliff Walk suspension bridge.
